    Hmmmph. Even with a relatively happy ending, I find I’m still pissed on her behalf.

    Protecting life is pretty much the only defense for drawing on someone (where I live, anyway)- considering the guy was armed, seems like it shoulda been a slam dunk. And after taking the initiative in this horrible situation, and ending it safely, this woman is rewarded with arrest and prosecution.

    Pretty lucky break she (or her employer) was acquainted with everyone in the legal apparatus. What if it had been Joe Blow citizen who held this creep at gunpoint? What if it had been me? Would the charges have been dropped then? Or what if I’d drilled him instead?

    I just don’t understand this country sometimes.
